ACO HexDrain® channel with galvanised steel grating typically used for domestic applications, UKCA, CE marked and fully certified to Load Class A 15 BS EN 1433:2002. The 1m channel is quick and easy to install and provides great drainage for excess water, for gardens, patios and driveways.
ACO HexDrain® Installation:
- Dig trench - 175 x 130mm (W x D) for channel and 400mm deep for sump.
- Mark finishing height with fixed-line 3mm below the final surface and lay 50mm bed of concrete.
- If using sump unit as outlet cut off outlet spigot, position sump in concrete bed and fit PVC-U Ø110mm pipework connection to drainage.
- Knock out the preformed base of the corner unit and remove the appropriate cut-out for channel connection. Connect the corner unit to the sump.
- Check line and level of corner unit and backfill with concrete.
- Lay channels from outlet corner unit ensuring joints clip together and fit endcaps. Haunch around channels with concrete or suitable fill material.
- Ensure the final surface is 3-5mm above the grating.
