Q: How do I measure my garden for turf?

A: Measure the length and width of the area in metres, then multiply to get the square meterage (length x width = m²). Divide your total by 0.6 to see how many rolls you’ll need. We’re happy to help work this out for you - just give us your measurements.

A: Turf gives you an instant lawn and is quicker to establish, which is ideal if you want fast results. Grass seed is cheaper upfront, but it takes much longer to grow and fill out. Turf is usually the better option for a neat, ready-to-use lawn.

Q: How long does turf take to bed in?

A: Turf usually takes 2-3 weeks to root into the soil, depending on conditions. Regular watering helps it to establish more quickly.

Q: Do you offer delivery for turf rolls?

A: Yes, we deliver turf rolls direct to site or homes across the UK. You can order online or speak to your local JT Atkinson branch if you’re ordering in bulk or need a site drop.
