Q: How much is a garden hose?

A: Prices vary depending on the type and length. As a guide:

• Basic hoses start from around £15.

• Heavy-duty, Ultraflex and hose reel kits will cost more, upwards of £30 depending on spec.

Q: Can I connect a garden hose to my kitchen sink?

A: It’s possible using a suitable tap connector that fits your sink tap. Bring a photo or measurement of your tap to your local JT Atkinson branch so we can help you find the right fitting.

Q: How do I fit a hose to an outdoor tap?

A: Fit a tap connector to your outdoor tap, then click or screw the hose connector onto the tap fitting. Make sure everything is tight and secure to avoid leaks.

Q: Can I turn my garden hose into a pressure washer?

A: Whilst you can attach a high-pressure nozzle or spray gun to boost the hose’s cleaning power, a standard garden hose won’t match the pressure of a true pressure washer. For heavy cleaning tasks, a proper pressure washer is a better choice.
