Visit our branch in Penrith and our experienced staff will greet you. We’ve been here since the mid-1970s making JT Atkinson the first (and probably the best) builder’s merchant in Penrith. We are also one of the largest out of 15 JT Atkinson branches.

We moved to our current site in 1990, Althams, traditional ironmongers who had traded here since 1844, had previously occupied it.

Our tool hire services and flood defence capability really set us apart as a branch. We have a test tank for all the flood prevention products we stock so that you can rest assured they are going to do the job they promise. In the past we have worked with environment agencies including the Eden district in order to supply and support our local communities.

Managing all of this we have Gary Atkinson, who along with his loyal and dedicated team ensure that all our customers leave happy, with everything they came in for.
