JT Atkinson Helmsley opened the doors in May 2023, situated on Sawmill Lane at the historic Duncombe Sawmill just outside Helmsley Market Square. The Sawmill now also boasts a newly renovated JT Atkinson shop providing a huge range of building, plumbing and timber supplies. The Sawmill still produces handcrafted gates, garden furniture, and bespoke joinery as it has for over 120 years.

In 2023, the site has undergone significant improvement, enabling us to manufacture the finest quality hardwood and softwood gates and accessories as well as open the new JT Atkinson branch which offers a wide range of building materials, roofing, landscaping supplies, and timber products.

With a fleet of vehicles including a Hiab, we can deliver to Helmsley, Kirkby Moorside and the surrounding areas in North Yorkshire, as well as national shipping for our bespoke timber products.
