The blue 65mm engineering bricks are primarily used for their strength and durability performance. The brick manufactured by Weinerberger comprise high compressive strength with a low water absorption. The 65mm blue bricks are not designed for facing work and they are not subject to the same inspection level for surface irregularities or colour variation as a facing brick. If design and aesthetic are a priority, facing bricks should be used.
