Job Description

As a local independent builders merchant and a member of the Builders Merchant Federation (BMF) JT Atkinson & Sons Ltd actively promote staff training and development. We currently have a vacancy at our Bedale branch for a young person to join our apprenticeship scheme, where they will learn all of the aspects of builders merchanting including sales and yard/warehousing. The duration of the program is approximately 6 to 12 months and on completion, the candidate will have achieved an NVQ at level 2 plus key skills, a technical certificate and ERR. There will also be the opportunity to progress to a further Advanced Apprenticeship, which would prepare employees for a supervisory position.
